Product Description

The ColorGard LUV 8000 Series calendered overlaminating films are a family of high performance pressure sensitive adhesive coated, clear overlaminating films designed to be laminated to:

• Photographic Prints
• Transparencies
• UV and Solvent Screen Printed Images
• Solvent and Eco-Solvent Inkjet Prints
• HP Latex Inkjet Prints
• UV Inkjet prints - (LUV laminates are specifically designed to immediately wet out over UV inkjet prints eliminating the Silvering effect)

Coated on one side with a clear high tack acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive, the ColorGard LUV overlaminate can easily be removed from the 58# white kraft liner that protects the adhesive. ColorGard LUV series laminates provide a uniform high gloss, matte or luster surface that protects your graphics from abrasion, moisture and other potentially damaging effects. Each series has UV inhibitors built into them to help retard color fade caused by ultra violet (UV) light exposure. 

Suitable for UV, Solvent, Latex and Eco-Solvent inks. 

• ColorGard LUV 8000 is a 3.0 mil,  gloss finished vinyl film
• ColorGard LUV 8200 is a 3.2 mil,  matte finished vinyl film
• ColorGard LUV 8300 is a 3.2 mil, luster finished vinyl film  

Durability

The durability of the film is 5 years outdoors. While all Permacolor overlaminating films have UV resistance built in to help extend the life of your image, the durability of the image is mainly dependent upon the quality of the inks (see technical data sheets given by the ink manufacturers) and pressure sensitive media being used.
